Windows 11 ARM64 is no longer an exotic special case. New laptop classes and mobile workplaces make it sensible to include this platform early in architecture and build processes.
For Delphi applications the critical point is rarely only the compiler. More often problematic are external libraries, native drivers, reports, installer paths or integrations that implicitly assume x64.
Those who resolve these questions early gain room to maneuver: for new hardware, for longer‑lasting client strategies and for a target architecture that does not later fail because of individual legacy components.
ARM64 is therefore less a marketing topic than a test of technical foresight. The earlier such platforms are taken into account, the more economical subsequent development remains.
